GoneTooSoon.org is a not-for-profit website, designed to help bereaved friends / relatives in their time of need.

The site is written in PHP5 with a PostgreSQL DB backend, using the Atsumi framework. It also makes use of the Paypal IPN and SagePay VSP services as payment gateways for sponsorship and virtual gift purchases.

The site is delivered to users in the form of a social network, where users can become site friends, send internal messages and create profiles in the form of "Gardens" in which you can add memorials.

The site is free to use, however, it uses a revenue model that "sells" virtual products and services depending on what the user wants, all of which goes towards development and running costs.
